Christopher Street Memorial Park honors the legacy of Chris Street, a former University of Iowa basketball star. The park features a peaceful setting with open green spaces, making it ideal for picnics, relaxation, and community gatherings. 

Snyder's of Humeston is a cherished family-owned variety store located at 128 Broad Street. Synder's offers a diverse selection of  clothing, kitchen gadgets, home decor, seasonal gifts, and Iowa-themed merchandise.

The Humeston Depot Museum, located at 422 N Eaton Ave, is a preserved piece of southern Iowa's railroad history. Built in 1872, it served as a hub for the Humeston & Shenandoah Railway, which connected Humeston to Shenandoah. The museum showcases artifacts and exhibits related to the region's railroading past, offering visitors a glimpse into the era when trains were vital to local commerce and travel. Adjacent to the depot stands a historic wooden water tower, once essential for steam locomotive operations.
