    The Humeston Depot Museum, located at 422 N Eaton Ave, is a preserved piece of southern Iowa's railroad history. Built in 1872, it served as a hub for the Humeston & Shenandoah Railway, which connected Humeston to Shenandoah. The museum showcases artifacts and exhibits related to the region's railroading past, offering visitors a glimpse into the era when trains were vital to local commerce and travel. Adjacent to the depot stands a historic wooden water tower, once essential for steam locomotive operations.
