Housing Options - OVERVIEW

We're offering several free and self-funded options for your stay. Read this section to understand your registration options, or scroll down for local hotels / lodges.

  • Bring your own RV (free): we'll provide a free hookup or campsite at the Wayne County Fairgrounds (where the main event is happening) while space lasts. The Fairgrounds have showers, bathrooms, temperature-controlled buildings for painting, and a full kitchen for our meal catering.
  • Borrow an RV (free): local hosts are donating their RVs for the event, and we'll make them available while space lasts.
  • Stay with a local host (free): local hosts are offering free rooms to visiting Walldogs. We'll match you to an appropriate host based on your group size + smoking and pet preferences.
  • Book your own hotel (self-pay): see below for a variety of local hotels and lodges. You are responsible for making your own arrangements and we recommend booking early, since the options closest to the festival will likely sell out quickly.

Note: we will provide transportation to/from the airport and some transportation around the Fairgrounds / Corydon, but we can't guarantee rides to/from hotels or lodges.

want to airbnb / vrbo?

There are additional Airbnb and VRBO options available, especially in the broader area (a 30-60min drive). There are a lot of cabins and rentals around Lake Rathbun ("Iowa's Ocean", a popular vacation spot) and around Lake Thunderhead (across the state line in Northern Missouri, near Unionville).

Set Corydon, IA as your destination, and then select an Airbnb or VRBO that is within a radius you're comfortable with. Keep in mind that many roads outside of towns are gravel, so check Google Maps before booking to verify that you're okay with the drive.
